Maria Lanzar-Carpio, The Anti-Imperialist League.
Maria Lanzar-Carpio originally wrote her account (to my knowledge the first historical one) as a Ph.D. thesis. It was published in the Philippine Social Review. Her most prominent conclusion after studying the group was that the work of the League can be accuratly evaluated. She admits that all possible information on the League has already been disseminated, but that the "perspective of time" is a critical variable which will either illustrate America's willingness to "control...alien people and territories" or adopt the ideals of the League. Interestingly, the only other major works investigating the League came in the late 60's and early 70's when the Vietnam War was testing the nation in very similar ways.
